⑩香港特别行政区出版物中称为“本地居民生产总值”。因应国内生产总值数列的最新主要修订，国民生产总值数字已作出相应修订。
（11）经常账差额的正数显示盈余而负数则显示赤字。在资本及金融账方面，正数显示净资金流入而负数则显示净资金流出。由于对外资产的增加是属于借方账目而减少则属贷方账目，因此负数的储备资产变动净值显示储备资产的增加，而正数则显示减少。
（12）原则上，贷方和借方各项账目的净总和应相等于零。但实际上，贷方和借方账目的资料是透过不同的来源搜集，基于各种原因会有差异。为了令贷方和借方账目的总和相等，便须加进一个余额项目，以反映平衡表的“净误差及遗漏”。
（13）贸易指数已更新，新系列是以2000年为基期。2000年以前的新系列指数是将以往发表的旧系列指数（以1990年为基期）按比例换算得来，所用的换算因子是根据新旧系列在2000年重叠期间的数值而计算的。
（14）期末头寸。
（15）国际投资头寸净值是对外金融资产总值与对外金融负债总值之差。
（16）因应国内生产总值数列的最新主要修订，1998年至2001年的相关国际收支平衡统计数字已作出相应修订。临时数字。

（11）Apositive valuefor the balance figure in the current account represents a surplus whereas a negative value represents a deficit.For the capi-tal and financial account，a positive value indicates a net capital and financialinflow and a negative value indicates a net outflow.As increas-es in external assets are debit entries and decreases are credit entries，a negative value for net change in reserve assets represents a net in-crease and a positive value represents a net decrease.
（12）In principle，the net sum of credit entries and debit entries is zero.In practice，discrepancies between the credit and debit entries may however occur for various reasons as the data are collected from many sources.Equality between the sum of credit entries and debit entries is brought about by the inclusion of a balancing item which reflects net errors and omissions.
（13）The trade index numbers have been updated.The new series has year2000as the base year.In the new series，indexes for periods prior to2000are obtained by re-scaling the previously published series，which has 1990as the base year，using a conversion factor derived from the levels of the old and new series in the overlapping period of 2000.
（14）Position as at end of period.
（15）Net international investment position is the difference between total external financial assets and total external financial liabilities.
（16）In line with the latest major revision ofGDPdata series，relevant BoP figures for1998to2001have been revised.Provisional figure.
